This application allows your department or family to request support from the HEN Foundation through three key programs:

Equipment & Tools - NFPA-compliant firefighting equipment
Education & Training - programs designed to enhance firefighter safety and readiness
Renewal - support for families of fallen firefighters to rest, reflect, and reconnect

It also serves as a needs assessment to help the Foundation evaluate operational capacity, community impact, and areas of greatest need.

The Renewal program provides a fully funded retreat—including travel, lodging, and meals—for families of fallen firefighters to rest, reflect, and reconnect. Each trip is privately coordinated and customized to the family’s needs.

Community Support Commitment

The applicant agrees to:

Encourage community awareness of the HEN Foundation’s mission.
Recognize the Foundation’s support through local, public, or media acknowledgments where appropriate.
Attend or participate in a recognition ceremony hosted by the Foundation when selected.
The applicant grants the HEN Foundation permission to photograph, film, and/or record representatives, equipment, and related activities associated with this grant or program. These images, videos, and stories may be used by the Foundation for promotional, educational, and fundraising purposes, including but not limited to social media, press releases, printed materials, and the Foundation’s website.
The applicant agrees that all such materials shall remain the property of the HEN Foundation and may be used without further notice or compensation, thereby promoting awareness of the Foundation’s mission and impact across the fire service community.
